Well done Enviro Kids and Ms Pemberton through your commitment and passion for our environment, you are making a difference. We couldn't be prouder of these children and Ms Pemberton. Today we walked down to the river with Room 4, and 5. To witness history in the making, the children from Room 8 and the Enviro Students were planting plants that have been grown by our students at School to promote the river project and planting of Te Awa River Ride. One of the highlights for me was learning from our Senior Students through their passion for the local environment local legends of the area. I was so proud of the way the children explained in their own words the importance of what they were doing. Of course it would be wrong of me not to especially mention our caretaker, Mr Wood who helps the children with the compost, worm farm, moving the plants and to many things to list. Mr Wood we would be lost without you. Another highlight for the Room 5 students was walking past the plants that this group planted last year at the start of the walkway and observing their growth.
Thank you Ms Pemberton, Room 8 and the Enviro Group we appreciate it.
